Winter is winding down, which means the Daytona Bike Week 2024 is coming up fast.

The annual 10-day motorcycle rally is one of best-known in the world.

And for good reasons.

First, it’s one of the oldest. It’s got Sturgis beat by a year — though Laconia was already drinking and smoking when those rallies were in diapers.

Second, for many riders Daytona Bike Week 2024 will be the official kickoff of the spring riding season. Many riders around the country are still deep in the winter hibernation when engines start revving in Florida.

This year is the 83rd annual Daytona Bike Week, and if you’re planning on attending, here are some things you need know before you go:

When is Daytona Bike Week 2024?

This year, Daytona Bike Week is March 1-10, 2024. It will run from historic Daytona’s Main Street to Midtown, and all along Scenic A1A Highway.

What is there to do at Daytona Bike Week 2024?

There is no shortage of things to do and trouble to get into in Daytona. Of course, the main events are the epic rides.

The Ormond Beach Scenic Loop is definitely one of the main attractions.

The 70-mile Lucky Ride is another popular route.

There are also raffles, motorcycle stunt shows, parties and much, much more.

Check the official Daytona Bike Week website for the full calendar of events and rides.

How big is Daytona Bike Week 2024?

The event organizers are expecting about 500,000 riders to roll up to this year’s Daytona Bike Week.

What does that mean for you? If you plan on going, be sure to book your hotel room well in advance of the event.

Daytona Bike Week hotels

To make it easier, Daytona Beach, the Daytona Chamber of Commerce and the event organizers put together lists of recommended hotels.

Here are things to consider:

  • Some lodgings are more motorcycle friendly than others. We recommend calling ahead to find out
  • Check for minimums. Some hotels have 2 or even 3 night minimums for these kinds of events
  • If the hotels are packed, there are multiple RV parks. If you’re rolling in on 4 wheels, that may be an option for you
  • There are plenty of campsites if you’re interested in sleeping under the stars. Just be sure to check the weather and pack accordingly with this handy packing list.
